3. Complex Sentence
➡ One independent clause + one or more dependent clauses (using subordinating conjunctions like because, although, when, if, since).
Example:
I stayed home because it was raining.
Although he was tired, he finished his homework.
Complex sentences use subordinating conjunctions (because, although, if, when, since, before, after, while, unless, until, etc.).
