The Locked Box

Once upon a time, a poor boy named Karim found a small, heavy box while walking through the forest. The box was locked and made of shining brass, with strange symbols carved on it. Curiosity burned in his heart, but he remembered his father’s words: “Greed always leads to grief.”

He carried the box home and showed it to a wise old neighbor. The neighbor smiled and said, “Do not try to open what isn’t yours. Instead, return it to the village chief.”

Karim obeyed. When the chief opened the box with a hidden key, it was full of gold coins and a note: “This wealth belongs to the honest.” The chief gave Karim a fair share for his honesty.

Moral: Honesty brings unexpected rewards, while greed brings danger.
