“Global Warming: Causes, Effects, and Solutions”

“Global Warming: Causes, Effects, and Solutions”

Good morning everyone,

Today, I would like to talk about one of the most urgent issues facing our planet — Global Warming: its causes, effects, and solutions.

Global warming refers to the gradual increase in the Earth's average temperature due to the excessive emission of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide. These gases trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere, just like a blanket, causing the planet to heat up unnaturally.

Now, let’s look at the main causes.

The biggest cause is the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, transport, and industries. Cutting down forests — or deforestation — is another major reason. Trees absorb carbon dioxide, and without them, more CO₂ remains in the air. Agriculture and waste management also contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.

So what are the effects of global warming?

We are already witnessing them. Rising temperatures, melting polar ice caps, and rising sea levels threaten coastal cities. Extreme weather events like floods, droughts, and wildfires have become more frequent. Ecosystems are being destroyed, and many species are at risk of extinction. Global warming also affects human health — increasing the spread of diseases and making food and water scarce in some regions.

But it’s not too late. There are solutions — and we must act now.

We can start by reducing the use of fossil fuels. Let’s switch to clean energy sources like solar, wind, and hydroelectric power. Planting more trees, protecting forests, and adopting sustainable farming methods are also crucial.

Each of us can contribute by saving energy, reducing waste, using public transport, and avoiding plastic. Even small actions like turning off unused lights or planting a tree can make a difference.

In conclusion, global warming is real, and its dangers are growing. But with awareness, innovation, and cooperation, we can protect our Earth. Let’s act today to ensure a better, safer tomorrow for future generations.

Thank you!
