The Hidden Blessing
One cloudy evening, a wealthy merchant was riding home through a thick and lonely forest. A heavy bag filled with shining gold coins hung securely beside him. Suddenly, dark clouds gathered, and heavy rain poured down unexpectedly. Within minutes, the merchant was completely drenched. Feeling angry and frustrated, he complained bitterly to God for sending such untimely and unseasonal rain. He wished the weather had remained pleasant and dry.
As he continued cautiously along the muddy forest path, a dangerous robber suddenly jumped out from behind a dense bush. The frightened merchant was shocked and helpless. The robber confidently pointed his gun at the merchant and pulled the trigger. However, the rain had soaked the gunpowder completely, so the gun failed to fire. The robber stood confused and disappointed.
Realizing that this was a precious chance, the clever merchant immediately urged his horse forward and galloped away swiftly. Soon, he was far beyond the robber's reach and safely escaped from danger.
The merchant stopped under a large tree and gratefully looked up at the sky. With tears of relief in his eyes, he sincerely thanked God for the rain. He finally understood that God's plans are mysterious and that what seems like a problem today may become a wonderful blessing tomorrow.
Moral: Every difficulty may hide an unexpected blessing.
